It was a dark and stormy night, no, actually it was a sunny beautiful day in an abandoned train yard. What could anyone want more from life. The texture was amazing. I honed in with my up close eyes and captured a moment of decay that seemed to me to jump out and say, ' remember me'. I have the eye and the eye has the camera.

Brilliant blues on the door of this '53 Ford

Picture
This image was found in a wrecking yard on a mountain top in Pennsylvania.  I traveled up an old gravel road to discover a treasure of rusting debris- cars, trucks and other discards made useless and worthless after years of service.  The late summer light brought out the brilliant blues on the door of this '53 Ford.  The colors are true…no altering or enhancing is ever used. My photos are unnamed allowing the viewer to tell their own story of what has been captured on film.

    About Horty's Blog

Inspiration can hit at any time. What looks like trash becomes a pattern or an abstract illusion. Junk yards excite me. Nature and time join forces to turn our trash- our discarded, unwanted, worthless material into objects of art.
